Talkin' 'bout dark moves.
Here are a few new ones to get you hyped for walk-in day tomorrow. Printing is going well, and you can look forward to a full eight by ten portfolio one of these days soon.
The dark room at Rebel Waltz is ripping. If you're interested in using the darkroom space and would like a chance to bone up on processing or printing skills: I will be giving a processing primer on Tuesdays at 7:30pm, $10 and you must bring your own chemestry. If you'd like a primer on printing, I will be doing that on Wednesdays at 9am. You must call between 12 and 7 at least the day beforehand to let us know you're coming.

Swag
I'm selling a few copies of some older zines and the Wreck six DVD at the shop right now. Come 'n get 'em! If you like.
Skateboarding video featuring Devon Welter, Bill Acheson, James Friesen, Justin Basset, Marky B, Evan B, Jake Kuzyk, Kyle, Drex, Jimbo, Tyler, Pat, Brady, Evan Sinclair, and Bram Adey.
Includes a zine featuring artwork by Bram, Evan, Tyler Geurts, and Devon Welter.
Writing and photography by me, late 2009.
Mostly skateboarding photos, and the writing is skate related, but appreciable by most anti authoritarians and sympathizers.
I made this one in 2006, it's a travel zine about a trip to San Francisco. There are only seven of these left.
This one must be '06 too, and is just random bits. This one is pretty angsty- atrsy, theres only a few skate photos, but one of Jake Kuzyk doing a front-shuv down Woodsworth. I only have ten of these left.

I was really stoked to get to put this hops on an old friend recently. Jon is a Skater and photographer who's a bit older than me, and he was one of the first really tattooed people I knew when I was a young adult.
Ryan also added a feather to his chest. This photo could be better...
Thanks for checkin out the blog, Tomorrow - walk-ins - just sayin.

Talkin 'bout Dark Moves!
Welcome back to The Wreck! Check out this cool development: the
Amazing Don Ritson the Third has set me up with a darkroom. So here are
some new prints to check out. If you see your tattoo amongst these prints, I have a print for you if you'd like. Five by seven prints cost you five dollars, hand printed, numbered and signed. They can be picked up at the shop: Monday to Saturday 12-7. I would print prints for you of any tattoo I've done, providing I have a usable negative. If you're looking for darkroom space, Rebel Waltz Tattoo now has a fully functional darkroom, Monday until Saturday 12-7. Inquire in person, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday 810 Notre Dame, Winnipeg. Only experienced printers need apply.
This is an early one that I did on my good pal Tyler. He was a huge support when I was first getting into tattooing. |
This one worked out good. |
I'm happy with this one. |
More to come on this one. |
A falcon for Mackenzie. The hooded falcon has been presented to me once as an example of unrequited love. It's all I think of that image now. |
Fun with printing! | Also, it's wednesday, come down and get a tattoo from me today! |

Hello everyone. Here's a rare, text-only post for you.
I'm experiencing a bit of a health issue right now, so I'd like to say thanks to my clients who are having to have patience with me right now. This one's been a bit of a doozie. I'm sure I'll pull through it soon, and in the meanwhile, maybe I'll manage to get something cool done.
Here are a couple songs for you.
This is a very fun song to sing for children.
This Murder ballad is worth singing and listening to as well.
Other than tattooing and shooting photos, I've been satisfying my soul by learning and singing folk songs. It has been a truly wonderful experience to Connect with history in a rich, honest way. I'm not so turned off by the murder ballads as I would've expected.
Anyhow, thanks for reading.

Here are a couple new tattoo photos. Every Wednesday I've been doing walk-in tattoos rather than appointments. It's been really nice to get to have a reliable day where I can simply come in feeling good and ready to work. Appointments, I've been reserving for larger work worth fretting a little extra.
Otherwise, it is an incredible winter, never have I seen so much snow fall in all my life. The streets of Winnipeg look like a battlefield. I saw a loader clearing snow with a full light standard in it's bucket.
AAAaaahhh!
Thanks for looking.

January TwentyFourteen
Welcome, thanks for checking in on the wreckcreation. Here are a few of the images I've come upon as I'm working away on a nice little TwentyThirteen portfolio of tattoos.
Frame zero.
Frame one.
The bottom left corner of frame one, where the pattern is disrupted, is cool.
I really want to tattoo stuff like this, Big abstract photo based patterns. Especially that Frame zero.
This one didn't quite make the portfolio, But I'm happy to get it out anyhow.
I was glad to revisit this negative. I really like this one from earlier in the year.
Someone passing through allowed me this photograph of a beautiful tattoo.
Thanks again, Bram
