Some tattoos, August - 2020

I’m starting to settle in at my new home away from home at Main Street Tattoo Collective.  After being at Rebel Waltz for so long, it was really scary and disorienting to be somewhere new, with all new people.  But it’s been fun seeing a whole different side of the tattoo community,  different ways of working, different personalities.

Here are a few tattoos from the last couple weeks.

I’ve done this Puma head a couple times now, but I hope people keep asking for it!

This lily was this young man’s first tattoo, and he had the spirit to allow me to simply draw it on, rather than to see the artwork beforehand.  Thanks Julian, I appreciate the trust.

This little chickadee is also a cover-up of a very light tattoo.

These next three photos are of a cool pair of arms I’ve been working on with almost no shading or fill.  Only a few select panes of dot shading.  Lots of open space, and sort of ambiguous, nostalgia inducing imagery.

From a painting earlier this year.  Thanks to all the people who have filled cancellations by choosing flash lately!

Thanks for looking.  I’m gonna hold off on taking new clients for a little bit, not to be a Prima Donna, but the list, and all the emails, got a little overwhelming after a while.  I will post on here and to my instagram account when my books  are open again.

August 2020

Thanks for visiting the blog.

A little heads up, I’m going to close my books right now.  That means I’m not taking any new appointments until further notice.  My schedule is full and I need to get through a bunch of people before getting to new ones.  So keep your eyes on here, or my instagram (@bramadey) for news about them re-opening. I think you can subscribe to the blog and you’ll get an email when I make a new post.

I painted this little set of birds this week.  Being locked down for so long due to Covid-19 was an awesome opportunity to get completely caught up on clients artwork.  For years I have dreamed of both booked up, and caught up, to this point.

The day I finished the last of my clients drawing was so nice, It has been ten years since I could last sit down to paint with nothing nagging in the back of my mind!  These three paintings are based on some reference I’ve had sitting around for the last ten years that I’m finally getting to...

Here are a few photos of some tattoos I’ve made on my homie over the last four, five... however many years.

Thanks Gage, for all the good hours, and fun opportunities!

Another one from this week.

Thanks for looking.
