Hi, thanks for visiting the Wreck Blog, this one's a bit long, a bit of a catch-up. I thought to make a post similar to my original blog, just a real day-to-day, chronological approach. Enjoy the photos! Email me at bram_adey@hotmail.com for tattoo inquiries.
The Loon, one of my favourite images to tattoo, so many of us have fond, shared memories of this beautiful bird.
Some morning sketches of upcoming work.
Who knows how long this building may last, i'd be surprised to see it ten years from now.
An eclipse happened...
I am stoked to have taken a minute to design a set of chess pieces for my Flash collection. Anytime you're getting tattooed, let me know if you would like to have your favourite piece tattooed, I'm ready for it!
I'm not a hockey fan in any way, but the playoffs being here is an unavoidable spectacle. I don't know what it means, but i loved seeing this kids "cup 2" jersey.
This Guy was getting heckled by a twelve year old out their car window... Looks like he's on the right side to me...
I was skating library park when there was a game going on... whiteout party, fully commodified cultural ritual... honestly pretty fucking brutal...
I missed the good photo opportunity here, but when I went searching for a good vantage point, I was horrified to see that the skywalk between the library and city place had the windows painted over to stop people from viewing the game... though I did meet a fellah who was taking advantage of this little hole in the paint to enjoy the game.
In a move that I think is typical of a photographer in my demographic, I've been really enjoying shooting wildlife photos lately... I managed to get a nice 200mm lens at the flea market last year, then I caught a 500mm reflex at a different flea market later in the year.
All my photos uploaded in reverse chronological order, which I find enfuriating.... especially for these photos of larger tattoo projects. But nevertheless, here are some photos of a pair of legs I've been working on for a few years now. Thanks so much to clients like this, you know who you are, who have stuck with me through all these years. It means so much to create collections like this with all of you.
These legs have probably been made in about 6 years, with a 1-2 1/2hour appointment every 3-6 months.
Here's a flash-inspired custom piece. The client came to me asking "Hey, I like your snakes, could we do it with one of the pine-boughs you do?". This is a perfect request! The flash I present is as much meant to be inspiration as pick-it and stick-it designs.
A flash design based on a painting by Kitagawa Utamaro.
Another design chosen from my book of lines.
Exchange district skate spots.
I love this downtown gap. I ollie'd it once or twice.
I photograph this lane all the time... This time there was a shopping cart!
I don't post stuff like this too often, but here's a large geometric sleeve I completed recently. I am happy to explore themes like this, but if you're interested in stuff like this, I will warn you, it is really time-consuming to tattoo, and therefore very expensive compared to the usual type of tattoos that I do.
I was really happy to see this other little geometric piece from a while back. I'm really happy with how this one turned out.
Thanks again for looking, Congratulations for making it to the end!
