Early December 2024 - Tattoos, Around the studio, and the winter setting in in Winnipeg.

Hi, Welcome to the Blog.  I'm excited to be all booked out 'till the end of the year.  If you'd like to book a tattoo in the new year, drop me a line at bram_adey@hotmail.com as usual.

Starting things off with a nice large chrysanthemum shoulder cap.  I really enjoyed working on this one, they had a few tattoos around to work with, and I feel like the final product finished off the upper arm really well.

A little pair of geese, I'm happy with how these turned out.

Here's one of the more striking tattoos Ive done in recent memory, for my Aunt with alopecia, a nice pair of head tattoos.  The lady's slipper we did four years ago or so, and the orchids, just last week.  An honour and a priviledge!

Added these cricket bats to an new client's growing collection.

I'm stoked on this wolf inspired by a video game from last week, simple, and I didn't do much altering of the image, but I like the result.

And I was really excited to make this big pair of crows design on an old client last week.  This is the kind of design you can find in my book of larger one-off available designs if you ask to see it, or look back at my "available designs" post.  I love these designs with a little story playing out, that grasshopper and fly one from my last post has a similar vibe.

And a couple healed ones on an old client:

That's all for new tattoos for this post, like i was saying earlier, if you'd like to book an appoitment, email me at bram_adey@hotmail.com to get the ball rolling.

The following are some photos from around my studio, Ritual Winnipeg, of my wonderful workmates and our creative lives together!  Starting with this picturesque stack of smaller designs that my apprentice Myes is preparing for a larger "porkchop"sheet.  She's doing great and will be starting to tattoos friends and well-wishers soon.  Look her up on instagram, "Lady Myes"

I made this otter on one of my coworker Ky's old clients.  The skull and mushrooms were made by them, they go by "Boreal Cowboy" on instagram.

These paper cranes are made by Ezra, and i'm so grateful to have them decorating the studio, they bring so much colour and spirit to the place.  Thanks Ez! To see their tattoos, look up "Dox Thrasher" on instagram, wonderful.

Here are a couple photos of recent flash sheets of mine on the walls:

Some of Ky's things:

And a part of my more private wall:

All these photos Have been from around my Tattoo Studio: Ritual Winnipeg.  The studio is on the fourth floor of 70 Arthur Street, unit number 420.  We are open to the public Monday to Friday, 10-5.  Please do stop by and say hi, and check out our portfolios.  The studio is probably a little intimidating to visit for the uninitiated, but don't let that scare you, stop by, we're all nice and would love to see you!

The rest of these are just photos from life, enjoy!

On the block:

When I was looking for spaces for Ritual, I really wanted this one, but i just couldn't write a business plan that worked for it... Now it's a wierd church... sadness...

My favourite tree on the block, the cottonwood at the end of the alley.  Between Home and Arlington, portage end of the Portage to St. Mathews block.

On the yellowhead highway, blowing ice crystals, powerful sundogs, a tree falling in the forest, making a sound, only for me.

My elder son and I visited Saskatoon, it was very cold, the river wasn't frozen, steaming in the cold.

We exit onto the Yellowhead, it's already dark, my heart pounds.
"Thank God"

Safely back home.

I haven't had much occasion to photograph blue jays yet, so I was stoked these two were kickin' it in my back yard last weekend.

Bless your heart you made it to the end and you're reading words!
